Watt Family 2021 Christmas Letter

Watt Family 2021 Christmas Letter

Dear family and friends,

We have observed the bright star’s position and counted the planet’s rotations. We have concluded that another revolution around the star is almost complete and a new one is about to begin. Thus we send you news of ourselves so that you may know Watt’s up and so that we will not fail to affirm the festive greetings of this Christmas and New Year’s season. If the style of this letter seems unusual, consider that normal is merely a setting on the dryer and allow this twenty year old earthing to write as she pleases.

Mawage. Mawage is wot brought us together on May 8th as Alex mawarried Kathryn. There was laughter over Ben’s toast with a Princess Bride quote, tears over Lauren’s recitation from Romans 8, beauty as both family matriarchs lit candles with the family patriarchs on their sides, and certainly much joy as Alex and Kathryn committed their lives to each other. The couple resides on a hill with squirrels in Pittsburgh, PA. Alex works from their dwelling place as a software engineer at Shopify, and Kathryn is an accountant at Everite and Hurite.

The matriarch and patriarch both wear their crowns of wisdom, which they have earned from their many hats, work for RC WATT, the family business, encourage Lisa’s ninety-one year old mom with dementia, and attend to Lauren as she continues her journey to wellness. In return, she, the author of this chronicle, attends to them as evidenced by her bedroom wall sign featuring, from Charlie Brown comics, Lucy’s psychiatric help for the low cost of just five cents. She also has an art business; this fall she launched LaurensEasel.com. There you can find her cards, mini paintings on easels, and 2022 Christian nature calendar. All profits go toward her medical expenses.

Watt-six enjoyed Thanksgiving together, as Alex and Kathryn spent the day with us, and Ben traveled from the land flowing with milk and chocolate where he is a third-year medical student at Penn State Hershey. We enjoyed a deep fried turkey prepared by RC, decorating the Christmas tree, laughing, taking a walk, and thanking God for His goodness and for sustaining us through another year.

"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross." ~ Colossians 1:15-20

We wish you, our fellow earthlings and dear friends and family, a merry Christmas and God's blessings throughout 2022!

Love,

RC, Lisa, Alex, Kathryn, Ben, and Lauren

Love the humor ! We all need laughter as a good medicine, one I’m willing to take more of. Merry Christmas to you all, no letter on our end my 87 year old mom has been hospitalized 9 days now and will be coming to recover here at our home this week. We pray she’ll see Jesus in our love and actions and He will reveal Himself to her this Christmas.
